NTA UGC NET June 2024 Exam City Details Released:
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a notification for the UGC-NET examination in June 2024. This includes recruitment for ‘Assistant Professor’ positions and for ‘Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor’ roles. Candidates who are interested and meet the eligibility criteria can review the notification and apply online.
Important Dates
- Starting Date for Online Application & Fee Payment: April 20, 2024
- Last Date to Apply Online: May 19, 2024, up to 11:59 PM
- Last Date for Successful Fee Payment (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI): May 20, 2024, up to 11:59 PM
- Correction in Application Form: May 21 to May 23, 2024, up to 11:59 PM
- Revised Exam Date: Originally scheduled for June 18, 2024 (Cancelled)
- New Exam Date: Between August 21, 2024, and September 4, 2024
- Intimation of Exam Cities: To be announced later
- Downloading of Admit Card: To be announced later
- Duration of Examination: 180 minutes (3 hours), with no break between Paper 1 & Paper 2
- Timing of Examination: To be announced later
- Exam Centre, Date, and Shift: As indicated on the Admit Card
- Display of Recorded Responses and Provisional Answer Keys: To be announced later
- Declaration of Result: To be announced later

Age Limit
- For JRF: Not more than 30 years as of 1st day of the month in which the examination is concluded i.e. 01-06-2024
- For Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor.
- Age relaxation is applicable as per the rules.
Application Fee
- For General/ Unreserved: Rs. 1150/-
- For Other Backward Classes (OBC) – (NCL)/ Economically Weaker Section (EWS): Rs. 600/-
- For SC/ ST/ PwD/ Third Gender: Rs. 325/-
- Pay fee using the Payment Gateway(s) integrated to the Online Application through Net Banking, Debit Card/ Credit Card / UPI
Qualification
- Candidates should Possess a Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC.
